“There is a unique pain that comes from preparing a place in your heart for a child that never comes.
~David Platt
Sometimes it’s hard to know where to turn after having a miscarriage. Well-meaning loved ones and friends want to help, but in doing so they can say some hurtful things like: “at least you weren’t further along,” or “at least you’ve still got your other children,” or “you can always try again.”
They want you to feel better. They want you to be able to move on. Their words come from a place of love, but often serve to make you feel like you have no-one that understands how you really feel.
I am here to let you know there is an immense wealth of support that homeopathy can offer you in your healing with both the emotional and physical effects of having had a miscarriage. In my homeopathy practice I have helped many women not only soften painful scars and emotions, but also get pregnant again and experience joy in that pregnancy too.
Miscarriage is a deeply personal experience and every single loss is different. In homeopathy we recognise this too. I’ve met with many women who have experienced a miscarriage and they deal with their emotional and physical challenges differently when trying to get pregnant again. Your response to going through the loss of a pregnancy is very unique to you, and although no one knows exactly how you’re feeling, I can provide support to help you move forward. The homeopathy process is gentle and non-invasive and the homeopathic remedies are excellent at helping your body and mind let go so you can look with hope to the future.
Some of the most common worries I often hear in my work is, “will I ever be a mum?” “Maybe I was working too much?” “What’s wrong with me?” Whether you have had one miscarriage or they are recurring, there is hope. You may be feeling angry, depressed, shocked or anxious. All of these things are very normal and in our work together I design a holistic treatment plan that will support you in your desire to get pregnant again.
Understanding what you need to help you along your healing process is the first step to trying again. There is a whole range of emotions that you may feel when either thinking about or actively trying to get pregnant again.
It can be hard to be hopeful about the next baby when you still feel the loss of your last baby. You may feel bad for “moving on” in a way. Other, very normal feelings include fear of getting pregnant again because you don’t want to have another miscarriage, worry that you won’t be able to get pregnant again, lack of confidence in your body’s ability to carry to term, or an inability to experience joy due to anxiety and fear.
Take for example Anna, imagine the difference homeopathy treatment made to her when she was able to accept that her two miscarriages were not her fault and she was able to stop blaming herself for what happened. In letting go of the guilt, fear and worry she was in a much healthier place to conceive and went on to have a healthy baby girl.
Homeopathy takes a holistic approach to health. We treat you! Not your organs – not your uterus – but all of you! Some of the ways we work together to ensure a successful pregnancy are:
Homeopathy offers a safe alternative to both mother and child through the journey of pregnancy, childbirth and post-labour care.
Homeopathic remedies are non-addictive without harmful side-effects and they can be used in conjunction with conventional medicine and fertility treatments.
“Eileen’s approach is to listen to the whole person and treat the whole person – not just an isolated part or symptom. This has been transformative at times I’ve really needed it. I’m looking forward to finding out how homeopathy can support me during my next big challenge…which is childbirth!
