Living with allergies of any type is exhausting and distressing and there are not many long term solutions available for those who suffer. But it’s an even more cruel twist when you love animals, whether it be cats, dogs or horses and you have to avoid or minimise your time being with them.
So being able to resolve multiple allergies, with one treatment plan, and long term is a most rewarding achievement in making a difference to a person’s life.
In this post, Jenny shares her experience of living with allergies for 53 years and how she found rapid relief just months after using Homeopathy. She shares her story here:
“I first realised I was allergic to animals when we bought a cat when I was seven, i.e. 53 years ago, and then gradually developed hay fever and allergy to dust, etc. The symptoms were a runny nose, itchy eyes, itchy throat, sneezing and sometimes asthma.
I have taken anti-histamine for most of my life to treat the symptoms (not always satisfactorily), and Ventolin when it developed into asthma.
This year, I was with a friend, and suffering badly (my trees – principally ash, birch and hornbeam – were pollinating). Seeing me suffer, my friend told me she had been cured of her hay fever allergies, and gave me Eileen’s contact details.
By the time I had my first Skype session with Eileen, I was fed up with myself. I was having violent sneezing fits and waking up sneezing in the middle of the night. My eyes and throat were irritated, and I had asthma, which was particularly bad when I lay down at night. I was exhausted and in a foul mood, unable to concentrate on anything.
After starting the treatment, my nose was really runny for the first few days, but this calmed down quickly. My symptoms started to improve a lot, but, as I had started to travel, it was difficult to know whether the actual underlying predisposition to the pollen allergies had been dealt with by the treatment.
Despite “my trees” having stopped pollinating, we continued with the treatment (I had developed a persistent cough, so we were trying to deal with that as well), and when Eileen explained that treatment in homeopathy is holistic and would take into consideration all allergies rather than just one, I jumped at the chance to continue the treatment further in order to deal with the animal allergies as well.
So, just two months after starting the treatment, I was at a friend’s house with her THREE cats (these cats always affected me, even with antihistamine tablets). I was ill-at-ease as I had forgotten to take my antihistamine tablet, but I HAD NO SYMPTOMS. I couldn’t believe it. Tried again the following week, and it was the same!
A final test was going to be with horses. I used to develop asthma simply sitting next to my daughter in the car after picking her up from riding lessons. I went on a horse hunt. I found one, and stroked it, patted it, ruffled its mane, put my face in its face (luckily it was a friendly horse) and NO ALLERGY.
Unbelievable, and my only regret is not having found Eileen earlier in my life. I had taken a course of treatment with a homeopath many years ago, to no avail.
