Candida overgrowth, commonly known as yeast infection, thrush or candidiasis, can profoundly affect fertility. This often-overlooked issue can prove challenging to treat. It may also linger unnoticed or persist quietly in the background and can significantly impact your ability to conceive. 1. Disturbed vaginal pH imbalance

4. Microbial balance disrupted: Bacterial Vaginosis and Urinary tract infections
Neglected Candida overgrowth upsets the delicate balance between good and bad bacteria. This imbalance opens the door for an increase in harmful bacteria into the vaginal potentially leading to Bacterial Vaginosis. Other problems that can run concurrently are urinary tract issues like cystitis and kidney infections.* Unfortunately, these infections can take a toll on fertility too.
5. Sperm health and male fertility
Candida’s influence extends beyond women as male fertility can be affected as well. Research suggests that the presence of Candida in semen may negatively influence sperm quality and function.

An overgrowth of Candida triggers an inflammatory response in the body. This chronic inflammation is a stress to the body and therefore diverts the body’s resources away from the reproductive system – away from the delicate process of conception. It’s also important to note that while antibotics may provide relief, they don’t discriminate between good and bad bacteria. They clear everything entirely.
